Jack Zimmerman

Jack is a Jewish man who came to faith in Jesus in 1988. His career began with ABC television in New York, where he served as the stand-up comedian warm-up host for a live TV show. He later hosted his own TV segment. Jack, an award winning news reporter, also covered papal visits and interviewed state and world leaders, including the President.

With his background in comedy, he is a dynamic teacher who naturally combines humor and theological depth in imparting the scriptures. As an ordained Pastor and Rabbi knowledgeable in Hebrew, he understands the Bible from a Greco-Roman viewpoint, as well as from its Hebraic origins, and helps his audience to understand the transition from one to the other. He has taught Bible classes throughout the United States and at theological universities in Russia and Ukraine.

Jack holds a degree in Journalism/Radio TV Communications from the City University of New York, and resides in the Phoenix area with his wife Sandie and their children Jordan, Ryan and Casey.

Caring and Sharing

Help comes in many forms. The deacon fund is one way our church helps our congregation and community. Its purpose is to provide short-term financial help for those in need. Since January, the deacon fund has assisted 11 different families.

Most of these people have received one-time assistance with food, gas, or lodging. But some have bottomed out so severely that they have on-going needs. For these repeat visitors, we are adding a counseling component to assess their lifestyle and decision making process. The plan is to help them make wiser use of the funds they have, and in some cases, better choices in the company they keep.

Due to unexpected emergencies or sometimes just poor planning, we've all been overextended financially. Your generous contributions have enabled us to help many right their financial boat.
