Imagine coming face to face with a loved one you thought was dead.
For many Christians it's their greatest hope after seeing Jesus in person. We imagine tearful reunions and endless joy with those we love. But is this scenario biblical?
Scriptures about gatherings and fellowship focus on our relationships here - building one another up, coming along side, and making disciples. When they reference heaven, they say all our attention will be on God. Consider Ps. 73:25, "Whom have I in heaven but You? And there is none upon earth that I desire besides You."
Let's not be concerned with scenarios our minds invent, but let our greatest hope be to hear Jesus say, "Well done good and faithful servant."
